"It is obvious that this site may not recieve proper
notice. However in reviewing the articles from the times herald
in their opinion This is not a legal issue I disagree. Harsens
Island is privately owned. Origianly a land grant to William
Groesbeck then pruchased from Wm Groesbeck by Jacob Harsen.
There is no record to support that this Island was paid for
by the united states. As I have been stating this is a private
business wanting to do business. Harsens Island Incorported
in 1925 This property may be subject to restrictions as to its
use. It is amazing that the City of Detroit had no authority
to set aside restrictions yet the DEQ appears to beleive it
can. What type of Government are the agencies of Michigan State
operating under.Furthermore JOhn fannon has made numerous contradictory
statements. Where is this bridge athoroity board now? The one
that stated it had jurisdiction over this bridge project? Didn't
Mr. Simon, the president of the Corporation Board (orgaized
under the corporate laws of Michigan) state "that the HARSENS
ISLAND AND ST. CLAIR FLATS INC. was remaining indifferent"?
So is everyone that is a member of this CORPORATION ASSOCIATION
supporting this bridge with their dues and membership?"
